Drawn using stolen time (2,5 hours), mouse and lots of lots of coffee... and tea... and no cookies I'm afraid.
This is a present for a dear friend, to whom I wish to apologize that I'm posting this up here...
I'm terrible, I know.
The thing is that I want some comments on this, as I'm contemplating an idea right now, and I need some real-world feedback. SO there, comment away. Whether you hate it, dislike it or feel indifferent to it, please comment.
I donīt really have any adv.critique for this one, mostly because i like it. For me the sunset colours just kind of "kling" for me personally. The black collar kind of breaks the bright colourpalette, but not so much it should matter.
Maybe also the smudges you left on the white shirt next to the tie make this look a bit unfinished.
I like the look of it overall, you always use nice strong colours. The only thing I can point out is that the man's head seems to lose definition because it's a similar colour to the background lighting. The front of his face also seems to be hit by the light, though the rest of his front doesn't seem to be - perhaps a cooler secondary light source would've done? Otherwise it's good, I like your painterly style.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
